Olympic Sculpture Park Farmers Market

This is the first farmers market at the Olympic Sculpture Park here in Belltown. It was a nice and sunny day and everyone was in the mood to walk around and buy stuff. Or just enjoy the sun and the park.

Here's my friend. She's letting everyone know that the City of Seattle is giving away free trees. You and your neighbors agree to plant trees on a planting strip near your house and each participant also gets a free tree (apple or cherry) wherever you want on your own property. They could be vendors here in no time.
There were people who lived in condos or apartments, but quite a few people could take advantage of the program and were keen to tell their friends and/or families.

Here's a very tolerant hot dog engineer who had to listen to us talk up the free trees over and over again. He was very nice about it.

What a perfect day for some organic cherries. They carried Bing and Rainier cherries. I asked her what kind of cherries would be good for a cherry pie and she said out of the two, probably the Bing cherries.

There was live music too. If you look really closely, the musicians are those teeny, tiny people at the bottom of the hill.
