Occidental Park

Here is your typical day in Occidental Park. People playing chess . . .

(Is it me or is the board set up wrong? I remember my middle school librarian telling me 'white to the right' meaning a white square should be on the right hand corner from their point of view . . .)

Someone playing a harp . . . .

People riding around in a strange contraption . . .

Someone waiting to hug you . . ..

Someone reading War and Peace on a red carpet with a big, white doily hanging from a tree . . .

Well, I can't really say that you could find on any day that someone would be reading War and Peace on a red carpet with a white doily hanging from a tree. However, you could find some artsy thing on most days. You can thank the Parks and Recreation Department and others for that. Most people are curious about what's going on and I think they are all better for it.
